Borden Fudge

 

3 c. (18 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate Chips
14 oz. can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
dash of salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. Chopped nuts (optional)

In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt chips with condensed mild and salt.  Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and nuts.  Spread evenly onto a wax paper lined 8 inch pan.

Chill 2 hours or until firm.  Turn Fudge over on cutting board, peel off paper and cut into squares.  Store covered in refrigerator.
